While Halloween is supposed to be scary, that doesn’t mean your Halloween party can’t be easy on the eyes. Here are some suggestions for decor that will look nice without sacrificing the holiday’s spirit.

Chic Halloween party decor

{1} White ranunculas, china mums, and daisies go from gorgeous to ghastly when arranged with bare branches in spooky black vessels. From onecharmingparty.com

{2} This seasonally colorful cocktail, L’Orange Pumpkin Carver, calls for pumpkin butter, maple syrup, and ginger liqueur. Yes, please!

{3} Candy’s for kids. Give guests a grown-up (but still deliciously fun) treat by making some pumpkin chocolate chip cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting.

{4} Poms are just never really a bad choice, especially in eerie colors.

{5} Of course these pumpkins are by Martha. If you’re not patient (or nimble) enough to replicate these (it’s okay, I’m not, either), copy the idea with bigger shapes and patterns, which look just as cool.

{6} Paper bats! Make a mobile, hang them from the ceiling, or stick them to walls and doors. Varying sizes and flock shapes can give it a creepy-cool effect.
